During one of the most difficult, stressful and scary situations I have personally had, Kitty was excellent not just for my daughter but also for me. She had empathy and compassion. Even after being woke up at 0300 for an OR emergency. Kitty's communication and kindness I have no words for. She acknowledged the need for that with a smile and a hug stating, "we have her, she's in good hands" (speaking of my daughter). After surgery, she was prompt to speak with us as the family and give updates. We were also able to know that my daughter was well and have that time to celebrate our new addition (my grandson). Today I still wonder how I can show Kitty how much her being there meant, I felt this is that way. A true DAISY Nurse is patient-centered, compassionate, has empathy and above all else does what is best for the patient and the family. Kitty, you made my first grandchild's baby book. When I reflect on that day you will always be in the memory. From the bottom of my heart and soul thank you for being so fantastic!
