My wife was admitted for appendicitis. She is never sick, and this was her first time having surgery. We were there almost the entire time, but it just so happened that my son and I were not in the hospital by the time they took my wife for surgery. I was very worried about her being alone.
When we finally got together in the room after her surgery, I was relieved to find out from my wife that she was not alone when it was time to take her to surgery. She was very proud to say she actually felt confident and that's because her nurse, Kathleen, stayed with her and kept her calm. Kathleen explained to her what to expect with this kind of surgery. She was very thorough and with all the information she provided, my wife's anxiety went away. She also sat down with my wife, held her hand, and they prayed together. My wife felt braver and more confident when they finally took her to surgery.
I am very touched by Kathleen's gesture to my wife. My son and I are very grateful. Thank you for hiring competent and compassionate nurses. We were treated very kindly by all your staff!
