This 2021 holiday season has been one of the most challenging for healthcare team members, possibly in all of our lifetimes. Kathy’s empathetic nature and endless advocacy for wellness spilled into this holiday season with incredible coordination of hope. This person contacted the WSRH AOC to share a plan for lifting spirits. This included a literal Santa Claus, rounding in the entire hospital on Christmas Day. Not only did Santa round and spread cheer but gave out goodie bags. Each of these goodie bags was purchased, made and stuffed with love, and organized by Kathy. Kathy and Santa visited both day and night shift team members and took pictures. The joy and laughter of our colleagues in the pictures are palpable, seen, and full of life. I can’t express the amount of work put selflessly into the event. All due to a person who cares so deeply for so many. Thank you, Kathy, for embodying joy in this time of challenge.
