Katie was extremely thorough, compassionate and kind. I felt extremely safe in her care. While I was hospitalized, although I was not on Katie's workload after about 4 days of being in her care, she made it a point to say "hi" and ask how I was doing. One evening, Katie came by on her own time to washand brush my hair. Although that doesn't sound like much, it meant the world to me. I was not allowed to shower because I was diagnosed with pulmonary embolisms. On top of that, I was unable to use my right arm because of a recent shoulder surgery, and my left arm had two IVs.
I was again hospitalized a few months later with pulmonary embolisms. This time shortly after being admitted I went into cardiac arrest. I heard Katie's voice and opened my eyes to see her at my side along with many other doctors and nurses in the room. It was very comforting to see and hear her. Thank you, Katie, for your compassionate care.
