Katie worked with a very confused patient. This patient has frequently hopped out of bed and was at risk of falling. This patient was previously in a posey vest for her own safety. The doctors discontinued the posey in order to progress with rehabilitation options for the patient. Katie went above and beyond for the care of this patient. Katie had a full assignment and still took the patient on multiple walks around the unit. She spent an incredible amount of time in the patient’s room listening to music with her and watching concerts on the iPad. Katie deserves recognition for her above and beyond patient care.
