I am 46 years old and have been in the University more than once. I have had many nurses come in and out of my rooms. The time I got to spend with Kat as my nurse was the most unique, and the most heartfelt, words can't even describe it. From the time she walked in and introduced herself, she gave me as a patient, her ears, her heart and more or less her friendship. It was like she was sent there just for me. If I had a question, she never cut me off or came off like she was the nurse and she knew better. This was not only to me but to a very good friend that stayed with me. Not once did she not take into consideration what I or my friend said or suggested as far as the problems that occurred during my stay. It didn't matter what I asked for, she was either there with it or with a very concerned reason why I couldn't. If this doesn't say enough for her, I am a grown man sitting here writing this letter with tears rolling down my cheeks (4 days later). When she came and told me that she was leaving for her day off, I also shed tears and was left with a hug that I will never forget. May she touch everyone's life the way she did mine. She is truly a remarkable person.
