My mother has been in the hospital for diarrhea and blood loss. Kat was one of the nurses who took care of her. My sisters and I were with my mom around the clock. Kat was so nice. She remembered our names and spoke to my mom with such kindness that she felt like family. Even through the changing of soiled diapers, she always made my mom feel like she cared.

After her assigned shifts were done, Kat made a point to say goodbye to my mom and wish her well. Mom talked about how nice and kind Kat was, and I could see how much my mom liked her. It made such a difference to mom to feel like she was being looked after by someone who genuinely cared about her as a person.
