Kathryn M Miller, BSN, RN

Amazing recognition for an amazing nurse! Kathryn followed in her paternal grandmothers’ footsteps. Ms. Miller chose Geisinger GCMC for two reasons, “First, I am from Scranton and Geisinger is a larger hospital in the area that offers a lot of new and upcoming treatments to the community and I wanted to be a part of that. Secondly, I chose GCMC because my grandmother worked as a nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit at GCMC over 50 years ago...The best thing about working in Critical Care at GCMC is the sense of family when it comes to staff. Between the nurses, secretaries, nurses’ aides, physicians, and mid-levels we all have each other’s back and best interest at heart. We have grown with each other over the years: celebrated in birthdays, anniversaries and come together with one another during the loss of a loved one. Our unit encompasses compassion and camaraderie, and I am so proud to call the unit my second home."
