June 2022 Honoree
Kathryn Repetti, RN
Our son was born through scheduled C-Section at 36 weeks. He was sent over to the NICU several hours after birth for difficulty breathing. He was remaining stable and even showing signs of improvement. Then on Sunday Kate was working in the NICU and overseeing him, she noticed a change in his breathing and carefully monitored him. She made the call to Dr. R when she wasn't happy with our baby's progress and thank God she did.
Dr. R came in and did an x-ray where he found our baby had a problem with his lung (pneumothorax) and had to immediately take action. Our baby needed to have a tube put in his lungs and then be transferred to Jersey Shore all within a matter of hours, and if Kate didn't take action when she did, I don't ever want to think about what could have happened.

Thank you, Kathryn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
