Kathryn Roma, RN

Katie Roma is the RN that oriented me to the Intensive Care Unit after I was hired back in November of 2020. During our time together for those 6 weeks, she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome by having us gown up with clean PPE to take a picture together, and during it, she bowed forward and touched her forehead to mine. It was a heartfelt gesture that will stay with me. It said, I welcome you and I am excited we get to learn from each other. I have been astounded by her kindness and knowledge. I want everybody to know how great it has been to work with everyone, and Katie has made my transition from a large inner-city hospital smooth and positive. Together we easily clicked and I was inspired to keep asking questions and doing all I can to learn from her example as I continue to grow as a nurse through these Covid times, and after them!
