Kathryn works in the Emergency Department and is a strong advocate for her patients and their families. One day, when caring for a patient who had a miscarriage, Kathryn was able to connect the patient with the NICU team so they could give her keepsakes of her baby. The patient received a mold of the baby's hands and feet in memoriam. The compassion and empathy that Kathryn showed helped the patient during a very stressful and difficult time.
