My mother spent two days in the ICU while trying to determine why she had become unresponsive. My father was very concerned about my mother’s comfort and had lots of questions for the staff in the ICU. Of all the nursing staff that was caring for my mother, Katie was the most compassionate, empathetic, and patient. My siblings and I all remarked to each other that Katie was very professional and very caring for the needs of my mother’s care, and specifically my dad’s well being. He appreciated it so much he gave her a hug. I was so appreciative that I thanked her personally.
