My mother was a patient at CRMC in the ICU, then transferred to St John’s in Tulsa. While she was in the CRMC ICU I was with her multiple times throughout the day, every day. The care she received at CRMC was exceptional. All of the nurses and CNAs. were amazing. They were all so kind, however, one individual stands out - Kathy Terakedis. 

Kathy was one of the nurses caring for my mother. and My mother and I had many questions and mom’s needs were compounded as well. She was elderly, had heart disease, was a cancer patient, and I brought her in as she was suffering a heart attack. Kathy was incredibly good to us. She always cared for mom’s needs, making sure she understood everything, asking if she needed anything else, and, on many occasions, would ask me before leaving the room, “Can I get you anything?”

I was always with mom during shift change because I wanted to speak to the nurse about how she did overnight, so I saw Kathy at the beginning and end of her shifts. She always had a smile! Kathy never appeared to be tired or frustrated, she’s incredibly professional yet down to earth and made sure I completely understood what was going on. Kathy Terakedis is an amazing individual and I thank God for Kathy and all the compassionate employees of CRMC.

Hospice arranged transportation to bring my mother home. Mom was happy and smiling, so I rubbed her feet, and we were awake all through the night. The next morning mom peacefully passed in her sleep. Kathy is an extraordinary woman who was more than just a nurse to my mother during her last days.
