I was scheduled for an elective induction and Kathy was my nurse. She noticed some weird heart rate issues with the baby that went away when I changed positions. Kathy was never comfortable after that and called my doctor to confirm a change to Pitocin from Cytotec. Right before we were going to start the induction my baby's heart rate was dramatically dropping with minor Braxton Hicks contractions. She pressed the emergency button and I had an emergency C-section. Her awareness saved my baby's life!
