Kathy Brand has made a significant impact on me early in my nursing career and many times throughout my nursing education and career. Kathy is an excellent nurse, life-long learner, inspiring an inquiring mindset, a desire for excellence, civility and respect, safe, quality care, patient-centered, accepting diversity, and demonstrating moral courage and humility. Her impact in the nursing profession cannot be measured, and I hope to honor her with celebrating longevity in nursing with the DAISY Award.
