It is difficult to put into words what it means to have a gracious, skillful and attentive RN to shepherd you through such an experience. Kathy was that shepherd for us. She was warm and perceptive. She followed emotional cues, was attentive, anticipating and reassuring. She advocated, gently cared for, communicated and so much more. Kathy made this painful loss so much gentler for all of us. Kathy gifted us by touching that day with her kindness, her absolute competence, her foresight and empathy.
