While we were on vacation in the St. Augustine area, I had a medical emergency where I experienced Ventricular Tachycardia. After my heart rhythm was stabilized, I was admitted to the ICCU for further testing. As I have severe anxiety when it comes to medical issues, Kathy was fantastic at calming me down and informing me of everything that was occurring. Her knowledge and compassion were so calming, and I am sure it contributed to my recovery. I will say that she was one of the best care providers that I have experienced in the last 10 years. Her ability to keep me calm and work with the doctors to ensure a positive outcome was very refreshing. I can see why she is the charge nurse, and I got the impression that the rest of the staff tried to emulate her level of excellence. You are very lucky to have someone of Kathy’s caliber working at your hospital.
