Every single time Kathy came to do a home visit she was caring, concerned, and always went above and beyond to help me. There were several times she would even keep her phone on for me if I asked her to so even though she was off the clock and home she was always willing to help me during her personal time. There were several times I called her in the middle of the night. Every time I did she always picked up her phone even though she was sleeping. Every time she would listen to me and do what she could or tell me what I needed to do.
I have met many nurses since I have Lupus. Kathy tops any nurse that I have ever met. If all nurses even came close to the care and compassion Kathy gave me, people in the hospitals and on Home Care would be taken care of the best a nurse can do. Kathy was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and even though I was very sick, somehow I always felt better when she came. She has a very loving heart.
I have only been discharged for a few weeks now and I miss her dearly. I told her if I ever have to be on Home Care again I want her to be my nurse.
