I have been sending a patient to Hardin for an IV antibiotic due to a multi-resistant infection in their hand. The patient lacks social support, has limited resources, and multiple needs. Kathy has been working with him daily with IV infusions and wound care. Kathy called me and stated the wound was not improving. I ordered an MRI. Kathy made sure it was scheduled and escorted my patient to the MRI after her infusions. The MRI was abnormal the patient would need surgery in Louisville and did not have transportation for the procedure. Kathy took it upon herself to set up transportation for this patient and made sure everything was taken care of. Kathy is a tremendous help and has gone above and beyond to assist with our patients.
