Whether it is a dayshift or night, Kathy has been persistently supportive on numerous occasions. Kathy is helpful when a patient has a clinical change in condition and needs immediate care, and her presence is known whenever a nurse is in need of guidance or support. During our high census season, the nurses started multiple weekends at max capacity with several tasks and challenges. Kathy was working the night shift and having an understanding of how the day would start for the oncoming staff, she made the decision to work after her shift becoming our team leader and taking on tasks from one nurse to another. Kathy could have stayed home, slept, but she didn't. She ensured everyone's safety was maintained, and no matter where we looked, she was either drawing labs, cheering us on, discharging a patient home, transporting, and becoming our unit superhero. Please give Kathy a cape so she can fly, as she is truly a superhero is scrubs! Thank you.
