The passing of a young child is a horrific and tragic event. When the trauma also includes the mother, the emotional aspect of the situation affects each involved in the care. Acting as a "conductor of a beautiful orchestra of care", Kathy changed her personal schedule to provide continuity for a family whose life had been turned upside down. Conducting interdisciplinary care was always coupled with emotional care. In the moments of raw emotion that followed, Kathy helped to shine light within a dark situation. One of her peers said that she had "never seen anything more powerful in her entire career." Thank you, Kathy, for being a true angel during a time when one was greatly needed!
