Kathy took it on herself to recognize and personally thank the 162 Emergency Dept patients treated in the ED during the first two days of Epic go live. Kathy hand wrote 162 cards, thanking those patients for their patience and consideration. Kathy did this on her own time at home. This was truly an act of kindness and service, above and beyond the call of duty. Kathy suggested the idea and acted on it, completing all the cards on her personal days off.
