Kathy took care of my daughter post-op. She calmed her anxiety effectively and quickly. When she was really rude to me, Kathy respectively informed her not to treat those who help in that manner. It was a difficult situation for our family and Kathy was there to support both parents and patients.
The best part is Kathy went above and beyond. When my daughter was 4, she thought anesthesia was a princess. When she woke up from surgery, she was so angry that she didn't meet a princess. Kathy had an "Ana-sthesia" doll (an Anna Barbie doll) in my daughter's room when she arrived after surgery. My daughter, who wants to be a nurse, said later "Mom, I am going to keep this doll to remember how much a nurse can mean for a patient."
My daughter feels bad about the way she treated others during recovery but wants to make sure how thankful we had Kathy as our nurse.
