Kathy Looney, RN

Kathy was my coach, my cheerleader, and my angel. She kept me going and assured me that I was doing great at pushing. At one point, I looked at her, and she was doing 20 things at once: holding my leg, calling the doctors, telling me I’m doing great, telling my husband he’s doing well too. Between pushes, I threw my arms out to her to hug her because I just felt so loved by her in that moment. She helped me deliver my son, and then she helped us get settled in on the post-birth floor. I didn’t want to leave her. She exemplifies what a nurse truly is. A caregiver who made me, a total stranger, feel safe and secure in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. My son will know who Kathy is, how well she cared for us, and how I believe she is one of the best nurses in Boston.
