There have been some days I literally did not know what to do and Kathy would come help with a smile on her face.
Kathy is one of the most compassionate and caring nurses I have ever met. I have had the pleasure of her taking care of me as well as working alongside her. Through this pandemic she has worked countless extra hours to help anywhere there is a need. She understands the struggles and stress nurses are going through with extra patient loads and hours. She jumps in to do anything she can with patient baths, clean linens, passing medications, etc. She also does all of this work with a smile on her face and has an infectiously positive attitude.

I also was a patient in the COVID unit last December and even then she was coming to help during high census. I was here for 5 days and she was the only one who came in on two separate days and cleaned me up. I clearly was not feeling well and having her come in and change my linens meant the world to me as a patient. The other nurses were so busy and it was just not in their control. I am sure I was not the only patient who was blessed by her additional care while I was there.

Kathy has been a godsend to this hospital for the last 2 months. We have been in a critical staffing shortage, and I cannot begin to tell you the number of times she has called and volunteered to help. Any unit, any task, including tech work. There have been some days I literally did not know what to do and she would come help with a smile on her face. We at HRH are very lucky to have her and I appreciate her very much.
