My husband has been battling multiple myeloma for 5 years and now leukemia. Kathy has always had a big smile for us asking how he was doing even when he was not her patient. He has been in and out of the Bone Marrow Transplant area and ICU often within the past 5 years, and often for long periods of time. Kathy has always taken the time to give him great care and had an extraordinary upbeat attitude.
My birthday was in August. My husband was upset that he had no gift to give me for my birthday as he was in the hospital attached to an IV pole in bed. Kathy took it upon herself to purchase some flowers for him to give to me. Wow!
