I would like to recognize someone who takes her job as Nurse Manager seriously. Kathy Roberts has often had to deal with short-staffing or the absence of a nurse or House Supervisor calling in sick, being on quarantine or scheduled time off with no one to fill their shift. Multiple times she has worked those empty shifts whether it be a 7a shift or 7p shift, sometimes several in a row. She has also covered two partial House Supervisor shifts in a 24-hour period because the 7a and 7p House Supervisors were both sick. She has never been recognized for the hard work and extra that she gives to keep her department running smoothly even when faced with challenges. It is time she receives some recognition for all that she gives to help keep this facility running smoothly and give our patients the care they need.
