Kathy goes beyond her responsibility of delivering professional and prudent care. There have been several occasions where the care she delivered were far beyond the call of her job description to ensure not only the patient, but the families were cared for. From time to time we encounter particularly difficult situations where patients/family members not only are dealing with a catastrophic injury, but also extreme financial situations.

Recently, we had a patient/family in extreme financial hardship. Kathy not only provided what she could individually, but then went a step further and rallied assistance from others. She was very professional and was confidential in the way advocated for assistance. The response was incredible, and there was a true out-pouring from co-workers, and the patient/family were extremely thankful.

Kathy not only listens to difficult situations, but actually acts upon these situations and tries to get those involved who can help. Kathy truly realizes that one person can make a difference. Her heart is filled with compassion for those she serves!
