After I had open heart surgery, I was admitted to the CCU for a few days. During that time, I was at the lowest point in my life. I knew that some of my life choices had helped lead me to where I was and was upset about what had happened. For my first four nights Kathy Wilson was my nurse and she not only took care of my physical needs but my spiritual needs as well. She spoke to me not as a patient but as a person.

When she came into my room, she had a conversation with me comforted my needs, and never dismissed any concerns. She would explain all my medical needs and always make sure that my medication was on time. She was truly concerned with how I felt and completed each task with grace and made me feel loved and cared for. When I left the hospital I was not only better medical but mentally and spiritually as well.
