Kathy was the first nurse I had in rehab. She is helpful, nice, and polite and will go out of her way to help others. She is caring and always smiles. Even when she is with other patients for that day, she always speaks, smiles and checks on me.
...
She is very caring and thoughtful. She treats you like she would want to be treated. She's very friendly and offers conversation genuinely. She truly shows she cares about making you comfortable and helping you with anything. My Mom feels the same way.

Kathy is a very caring and compassionate person. As soon as she walks through the door she brightens the room with her smile. She has a service attitude. Always going the extra mile even if the patient is being difficult! (observed her with other patients). Excellent example of what Baptist Hospital wants as a nurse!!!
...
Kathy was so concerned about me and my leg. She changed dressings and was eager to look and make sure it was healing properly. She always had knowledgeable answers to my questions. She would brighten up my room with her constant smile. You could feel she was genuine- NO FLUFF! Most attentive. She informed me what she was about to do and why. She made me feel as if I was the only patient on the floor even though I knew she had plenty to do. She took her time with me and never rushed me. She would stop by often to see how I was doing. She always explained my meds to me. I was really impressed how she always would come check on me in physical therapy, my room, dining room and if I needed her in the middle of the night she was there. I have been in the hospital for surgery five different times all at Baptist East and thought they were good stays but none of them compare with this one. My hope is you will recognize her for her care and service she rendered as an inspiration to continue to be her loving self when days get long and times are tiring. Individuals in her capacity should always be praised, thanked and recognized for going those extra miles unselfishly.

I know Kathy was sent as the Lord's angel. She is so kind, sweet and very efficient. She really made my husband feel better and it so happened she was from our home town and went to the same college as one of our sons as well as high school. She lifted his spirit by talking about our home town. I know the Lord sent her as a special angel. Thank you Kathy! Kathy really needs your highest appreciation you could give. Thank you for all your help!

She was so kind the first time we met her. She was an angel in blue. She did everything she could to make us feel at home. All I can say is she was great to us. God bless her in her work.
