On my first night, Katie made me feel so taken care of. Then on Saturday came to say hi, even though she wasn't my nurse that night, and even started a new IV for me due to some issues. That made me feel so good!

All the nurses were loving and caring and always made time for me and any of my needs. They brought extra pillows without being asked and made my 5-day stay as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. I also appreciated all the nurses. All nurses and aides listened to my ideas about my treatment, which was great considering I've been through this many times before. I appreciated their trust in me, being on only one leg and using crutches to be able to get around without having to bug them.

We all had a lot of smiles and joking around despite the pain and discomfort. They all made my stay very nice. They would tell me that they didn't want me to go home because I was their favorite patient that was so incredibly nice to hear. I'm not a button pusher and don't like to bug them, yet they always came when my IV machine was beeping. I always had fresh ice water. They cleaned and dressed my wounds so very gently. They managed my vancomycin like real heroes, so I could still get the drug despite my developing red man syndrome.

Katie started a new IV upon my request, which was done painlessly and perfectly. I spent many, many, many days in the hospital, and this was probably the best one.
