November 2013 Honoree
katie brinck, RN, ADN
...My wife had an angiogram and her stent was found to be 90% blocked. She was told she would have bypass. She felt she should come home until she needed to prepare for surgery. The doctors however, felt she needed to stay.
She became very emotional and depressed. Katie Brinck came to the rescue in my wife's fragile state. She arranged for a change of rooms that would allow for more light and a beautiful view of the city and river. She even arranged with the doctors to allow her to go downstairs to see her new puppy.
Katie's friendship and compassion made all the difference in our crisis. We cannot thank her enough.
