We met Katie Davis when my husband was here. She was a breath of fresh air. Her kindness and smile were like no other. My husband had so many nurses, and I nominated one before we met Katie, and they were all good. But none stand out like Katie. She was always there with a smile and a willingness to do anything that we needed. She was as gentle as a lamb. She was born to be a nurse. She put in a call to a PA about my husband's diet to see if he was able to have something to eat. She explained everything to us that she was doing and why. She calmed our fears. You could not ask for a nurse any better. She was the very best. Katie is very knowledgeable about her job. Nothing was too big or too small for her to do. I only wish I could give to her what she gave to us. Never a minute did she act tired.
There were busy days that I know Katie had to be tired. No, it's not that she had to do things, she wanted to always do things to help. The special thing about Katie is that she smiled when she helped you. Not as a job but something she wanted to do. I can never give back to her what she gave us. Centra is lucky to have such a devoted and caring nurse. Extraordinary isn't the word for her. Katie is an angel on earth.
