Nomination #1:
I have had the privilege of working bedside with Katie and now watching her thrive as PCC. I can confidently say she is one of the most dependable and respected nurses I know.
Nomination #2:
I had the opportunity to work with Katie during my time as a new ICU nurse. Although she wasn’t my only preceptor, she made a lasting impact on me. She taught me so much – not just clinically, but how to be personable with patients, provide meaningful care, and navigate some of the toughest situations. She has a way of making even the hardest days feel manageable and sometimes brings humor into those moments when it’s most needed.

Katie is fair, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. She has the natural ability to walk into a busy, overwhelming unit and immediately bring a sense of calm and organization. She leads by example, treats everyone with respect and always does what is right – even when it’s not the easiest path.

Katie is someone people can trust without hesitation. Whether it’s staff or patients, everyone knows they are in good hands with Katie. Her work ethic and leadership do not go unnoticed. She truly makes our unit better every single day.
