My 12 year old special needs son was incredibly sick and needed seen in the ER at Murray for specific testing.
My son is paraplegic, with an anoxic brain injury, non verbal, tracheostomy dependent, and complex in his needs. We were blessed with Katie as our nurse in the ER this particular night. She met us with a smile, engaged with him, showed empathy, and incredible professionalism. She checked on us frequently, always with a smile.
Her passion as a nurse shined that night she took care of my son. Katie is an asset to AdventHealth Murray.

Katie has not been a nurse for long, but you would never know this by the care she provides. This girl rolls with whatever comes her way. She stays calm in emergent situations which allows her to make split-second competent decisions without hesitation. She does all this with a smile on her face.
