Nurse Katie consistently takes exceptional care of our IPR patients. There's a huge level of patience and compassion required to educate, support, and care for patients with new/progressive disabilities, and she consistently goes above and beyond in offering this. Remarkably, Katie provided attentive and thoughtful care to a patient who was tenuously stable and with a high level of acuity, on top of providing diligent care to all of her other patients while nursing and PCAs were short-staffed. The fact that this patient remained stable until transfer could be coordinated is entirely because of the close care and attention Katie offered all day long.
