It was prom season and for some parents that can signify the coming to an end for childhood and a passage to young adulthood. Katie had a patient who was leaning towards leaving against medical advice to make her daughter feel special. Katie worked with the family and the patient and the family came through. Katie assisted the patient and daughter while preparing for the prom at the hospital. She helped the patient do everything she could as if she were at home; including wheeling her down to the lobby/outside for the pictures. Katie did all that while still giving amazing care to all her other patients.
