Katie demonstrates outstanding leadership, empathy, and nursing skills every day. I am recognizing Katie because of a patient who was developmentally delayed. Not only did Katie do a fabulous job as a charge nurse but she went above and beyond for this patient. She went out of her way to have activities for this patient like Legos and building blocks. She answered all lights, spent 1:1 time feeding the patient and made sure that the patient was cared for from every aspect. If I was the family of this patient, I would be so impressed and appreciative. Thank you Katie for always going above and beyond expectations. You are an incredible nurse.
