My dad was very confused about who he was and where he was. Kate made him comfortable when talking to him. She engaged in conversations with him and treated him like he was her only patient. When my dad was confused about something after I left and he wanted to talk to me, Kate respected his wishes and called me so that I could reassure him. That was the last conversation I had with him. So, for that, I am forever grateful to Kate. Kate demonstrated all of the Essentia Health's Core Values in her workday. I would have to say they are just a part of who she is. Kate expressed much empathy and compassion for what I was going through, I don’t think that I could have gotten through the week without her.
