It is very difficult to describe just one situation involving Katie and her work ethic. So I will just explain why I feel she is deserving. I have worked with Katie since 2016. I came along a couple of weeks after the new provider took over the practice of the late Dr. Baddour. Though still grieving, Katie welcomed us both. I have personally witnessed her interaction with not only the patients but also with her co-workers. She treats the patients more like family. When they come into the office, they always ask if she is still here. You can often hear the exchange of "I love you" between her and the patients. They love her and so do we at Sterling Uro/Uro-Gyn. I am not sure where we'd be without her years of expertise in Urology, her wisdom as being a nurse, and her love, gentleness, meekness, and kindness with our patients. Yes, she portrays the fruit of the spirit when it comes to them. She is very significant to our facility, this organization, and our community. I know no one more deserving of this award. She is a true DAISY Nurse.

I have worked with Mrs. Katie for several years and her compassion is inspiring. She treats every patient and family member like they are her family. She truly cares for her patients and her fellow staff members. She goes above and beyond at all times to make everyone's day run smoothly. I have learned so many invaluable things about nursing and life from Mrs. Katie. She is the perfect example of what a DAISY Nurse is.

When our office moved over to the Sterling Center, needless to say, I was a little nervous and apprehensive. The first day there I ran into Ms. Katie, she greeted me with a smile and a hug. She started talking to me as if we had known each other for years. She made me feel at ease and put my fears to rest. Even though I worked on the other side of the building from Ms. Katie, I would often see her scurrying in and out of patients' rooms. Ms. Katie is the kindest, considerate, compassionate, knowledgeable nurse that I have had the pleasure to meet. She embraces the care concept of nursing by being a patient advocate showing empathy and caring all the while being a team player at the office.
