October 2024 Honoree
Katie Kakos, MSN, RN
Upon arrival, I was assigned several nurses, one of whom was Katie Kakos. When I met Katie, I felt a positive energy between both of us. She was very caring, very nice, and very polite. She always checked on me and helped me with anything that I needed. She explained what was going on with my medical situation. She googled my diagnosis so that she could get a better understanding of what was going on with me and we discussed that, after she did her own research, I stayed in the hospital for three days, and while I was there, she had a chance to meet my family my two children, their father, my mother and one of my grandsons. We felt like family with Katie. I bonded with her as a nurse like never before. She takes pride in what she does. She cares for her patients. I really love her as a nurse. I would recommend her to anybody I know who is hospitalized to be their nurse. When Katie‘s working, I feel like she’s more at home and comfortable with her patients, and she thrives in what she does. I love her smile, and I love her ambition. I want to let her know how proud I am of her and her accomplishments in her profession. Katie, keep up the good work. You are the best nurse I’ve ever met. Thank you so much for all that you did for me and my family, I really appreciate you. Keep saving lives. It is so important, just like you are. Thank you.
Thank you, Katie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
