Katie treated me like her favorite grandpa. She went above and beyond to take care of me. She explained things to me and just went that extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. She treats me like she is my family. Please recognize her for me.

I would like to recognize Katie for her willingness to step up in a pandemic right off of orientation as a brand new nurse. I asked if anyone on our team would volunteer to be on the COVID response team and she was one of the first to volunteer. She left her comfort zone, went to help, and did an amazing job. Katie loves taking care of people - her patients and teammates. She works extra when we are short just to take care of her teammates. Katie's patients tell me how she treats them as if they are her family. I am so proud of the nurse Katie has become.
