The DAISY Award was created to recognize an extraordinary nurse and Katie certainly fits that description! Her nomination was submitted by a peer who saw her demonstrate compassion and genuine caring while providing excellent clinical care, to a patient and family during a very difficult hospitalization and clinical outcome.
