Katie Loomis, RN

Angels are people who are right there for you when you need them the most. While in the ICU with life-threatening sepsis I had been delusional most of the time but when I awoke there was an angel in my room and her name was Katie. She smiled brightly and reassured me that she was going to take good care of me while I was in her care. She spent a great deal of time assuring me that I was positioned comfortably.

One time I was frightened and afraid I was going to die and Katie put my fears away through her gentle touch and patient explanation of what was happening to me. She made sure my daughter was informed of my condition and included her in decisions that had to be made. She was very patient and kind to me in times I wasn’t at my best. I know without a doubt that I would not be alive today if it weren’t for Annie Penn and Katie. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
