Katie and Ben showed compassion during a difficult time for both of their patients. Ben’s patient was the husband of Katie’s COVID patient. The wife made the decision to make her husband comfort care. She was unable to be brought to his room due to her high O2 requirements. Ben and Katie worked together and brought the comfort care husband into the wife’s room so they could spend their last moments together. The husband passed in his wife’s room so after she spent time with him we moved her back to his room so other family could be with him.
