Although Katie is a new nurse, she jumped in to the new project "Wean to Crib" by being involved in the research and developed a PI tool as well as new policy. She took home hundreds of brand new donated infant outfits and placed them in Ziploc bags for the new "Dress to Success" program. She rallied her university sorority sisters to make pastel hats for the babies during the immediate transition to the crib. Katie has a friendly, happy, contagious and championing personality in the NICU. She also has been working on employee satisfaction team developing the Spirit Calendar. I am proud and amazed that Katie is going above and beyond so early in her career.
