Ms. Piorkowski was nominated by a patient and his wife who were very impressed with her exceptional care. Although the patient was admitted during the COVID pandemic, nothing stopped Ms. Piorkowski in responding quickly to her patient's needs. Providing extraordinary care to her patients, while keeping their families up to date. Answering all questions, taking family calls, and even meeting this patient's family in Honesdale to return personal items left behind in the hospital. These are just some of the amazing reasons that Katie Piorkowski is our June 2020 DAISY Award Winner, and we are so proud!
