The OB department called a Code Blue on a fresh delivered mother. This is an almost unheard-of event for our hospital and she responded quickly along with the code team. Her ability to blend right into a scary situation and take control of the code made the entire room calm through the chaos. She was documenting, letting the team know when it was time to do the next step, all while holding the crying newborn baby. She made sure the code team considered all options and steps before the heartbreaking call of time of death was given. Afterward, she stayed to console the family, nurses and assisted with the documentation process. Her thoroughness helped make that difficult process bearable. She goes above and beyond every shift. She is skilled beyond measure, determined, and cares about each and every department in the organization. We are so grateful for her.
