Katie was nominated by a patient who illustrated Katie's unending compassion, kindness, care, and pride. The patient stated, "I have a chronic illness and I have never experienced the genuine care that I received from Katie. She made me feel safe, supported, valued, and heard. She showed concern in my symptoms and took the time to get to know me. Without a doubt, Katie has found her calling."
