Katie has developed into a strong, compassionate nurse. She is known to arrange "parties" in honor of our patients who have come through a terrible illness. A co-worker describes how this nurse was recently caring for a young patient and was able to create a special bond with the patient's husband and their newborn baby. The patient's husband trusted her and was really able to open up to her. That trust gave the husband a sense of security in the care of his loved one.
